Our missions is to provide a fun-filled family day celebrating Canadian heritage through entertainment, arts, culture and information on July 1st in Orillia.
In 2003, Orillia Canada Day Inc. became a registered not-for-profit corporation and a registered charitable organization. Presently, our structure has a core committee comprised of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson/Treasurer & 2nd Vice Chairperson along with coordinators of various aspects of Canada Day – Children’s Village, Entertainment, Fundraising/Sponsorships, Scheduling and Technical, Fireworks, Media/Marketing, Membership, Operations, Parade, Security, Vendors, Volunteers, Waste Diversion and Website.
These volunteers spend tireless hours preparing for the Celebration, and they are joined with up to 200 more volunteers on July 1st to make Orillia’s Canada day celebration a success.
A long standing tradition is selling Orillia Canada Day buttons that are customized each year. They are a fun souvenir but also important because they help support all the great activities we present, most notably our annual fireworks display. Please be sure to buy a button to help support the festival, thanks!
Join us for our Canada Day Parade. Things get underway at 12pm with the route starting at City Hall, making its way down Mississaga Street to Couchiching Beach Park. If you'd like to take part, please be sure to fill out an application as they close on June 25th.
Decorate your wheels to take part in the Wheely Great Parade! Bicycles, tricycles, wagons, skateboards, wheelchairs and scooters can take part in this annual event. Participants of all ages can register at the Terry Fox Circle. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Join us in the Children's Village for plenty of fun including FREE use of the bouncy castles and attractions (see the Event Schedule page for specific times) along with opportunities to make crafts and take pictures with a variety of super heros (and maybe even some villains!).
An annual tradition as part of the Orillia Canada Day festivities! There will be many delicious Canada Day themed cakes baked, decorated and donated by our friends at Mariposa Market.
Cake cutting will take place in the Pavillion by the lake. It is first come, first served - FREE!
Come join us for breakfast!
We will be serving pancakes and sausages, along with Tim Hortons coffee, tea or juice . Check the Event Schedule page for times, and head over to the Pavilion in the Terry Fox Circle.
We're back at Couchiching Beach Park which means lots of room for fun, games and incredible rides. Check the Event Schedule page for full details once they are confirmed.
Join us inside the Beer Garden for an ice cold brew. Don't forget to purchase a button for admission. This area is only for those 19+
Join us throughout the day at the beautifully restored Rotary Aquatheatre for entertainment. Check the Event Schedule page for full details about the various performances.
Be sure to come to the park hungry because we have a variety of food and beverage vendors to keep you fed and hydrated. We have lots of variety including ice cream, BBQ, and of course poutine.
Explore our Vendor Village filled with various merchants with all kinds of great items for you to browse and purchase. Be sure to stop by the Orillia Canada Day tent for custom merch that supports our efforts!
