Orillia Canada Day is a wonderful opportunity for residents to give back to their community or for high school students to earn their required volunteer hours. 

Volunteer positions include: selling buttons in the park on the day of the event, working in either the information or volunteer booth, event security, litter pick-up, working in the Children’s Village or assisting with event set-up or take down.

If you would like to become more involved, you can take on one of the many committee tasks available.

Marshalling takes place on Albert and Mississauga Street at 11 AM. The Parade starts promptly at 12 PM and goes down Mississauga Street and along Centennial Drive and disperses at the north park entrance (Jarvis Street).

This parade celebrates Canada’s Birthday and Heritage. We encourage red and white, music, bands, flats, dignitaries, walking groups and animals (insurance certificate required).

We also encourage local award winners i.e. Citizen of the Year, Fair Ambassador, Woman of the Year, etc. to submit a parade application.

The Orillia Canada Day Committee encourages any local not-for-profit groups to join us on July 1st to promote your organization. 

There is no charge! 

To qualify for a vending opportunity applicants must complete, sign and submit the “Vendor Participation Application Form”  Click the button below!

All Vendors must provide their own exhibit and materials including table, chairs, canopy etc.

Craft vendors may sell only handcrafted items. These items include but are not limtied to wood carving, knit/crochet items, jewelry and more!

Craft Vendor fee is : $65 for 10′ x 10′ space or $90 for a 10′ x 20 ‘ space.

Applications for food vendors is now open. You must provide a copy of the Special Event Permit from the Simcoe County Health Unit and a Certificate of Insurance naming Orillia Canada Day Inc as an additional insured. 

Food Vendor fee is: $295 for 10′ x 10′ space or $405 for a 10′ x 20 ‘ space.

Items for sale should be of interest to our visitors i.e. sunglasses, tee shirts, jewelry, clothing etc. Vendors are required to submit a Certificate of insurance naming Orillia Canada Day as an additional insured. 

Commercial Vendor fee is:

 $225 for 10′ x 10′ space or $315 for a 10′ x 20 ‘ space.
